Mac Logic Board Repair in Beckenham
The logic board is the Mac’s motherboard, and most “dead Mac” faults lead back to it. Home Computer Repairs troubleshoots and repairs logic boards in MacBook, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air and iMac.
Signs of a logic board fault
- The Mac is completely dead, with no chime, light or fan
- It will not charge, or the charger light stays off
- It starts up but the screen stays black
- It shuts down or restarts at random
- USB-C or Thunderbolt ports have stopped working
- It failed after a liquid spill (see Mac liquid damage)
How the repair works
We test the charger, battery and screen first to rule them out, then trace the fault on the board. Where it can be done, we repair the board at component level instead of replacing it. If the Mac cannot be repaired economically, we tell you and can usually still recover your data.
Mac logic board troubleshooting and repair costs £285 + VAT on older models and £450 + VAT on newer models with the T2 chip. See our prices.
